I had forgotten all about this post.

Thanks all for your replies. I sold the tires and just happened to stumble across a ss winchester model 70 feather weight with a leupold 3x9vxII 30-06 for sale locally.

She is a beauty and I just had to have it. I just love that big ol mauser claw

I'm now back in the market for a 10fp. I think I'm going to go with a .223 in either a ar-15 or the 10fp. I love target shooting and have plenty of big caliber guns.
