You mean how long will ammo last an still go bang, If get your question.
Buckshot should last just as long as slugs. The lead may over time change color but you won't be looking at it anyway. If kept dark (important with shotshell ammo because the sunlight will ruin the plastic) and in proper temature it should last indefiently. That dosen't mean it will, but if kept properly it will last longer than you.

It won't make a difference, weather you are talking life of shotgun or life of shells.

Nope won't matter at all how long it last. The gun will last just as long shooting buck as slugs.

The only thing that will wear your bore out is steel shot.As long as you are using lead or the equivelent,it won't wear the bore. sam.

lionxheartxsd....Andrew Cockran and I both own Pardner pump shotguns in 20ga.'s
Let us know what you think about yours, meaning fit, handling over all appearence.
I bought mine out of curiosity and wanted a 20ga.
I was shocked that it appears well machined and fit & finish were excellent.
I haven't shot it yet to see if it patterns straight, I sure am hopeing it does because it seems to be a nice shotgun...Over all are you happy with yours ?

Providing the shotgun is not a "full choke" either will do. It is not recomended that you use slugs in a full choke gun. They have been known to split the barrel, depending of course on many factors i.e. barrel composition, thickness and exact amount of choke.

New England Firearms, of course, does not recommend shooting slugs through full choke. However, the Pardner pump comes stock with a Modified Screw-in choke. And at that, should you wish, you can always purchase an IC or Cyl choke to better accommodate those slugs.

for ArkansasHunter and andrew cochran : I am totally happy with my 12ga. when i first shot it i thought i was going to fly back and loose control of it, but its perfect for me. to let u know, i'm pretty slim, and im 5'6" tall and around 135 lbs...i've already shot birdshot, and 00 buckshots, and going on slugs for the first time. the bolt on recoil pad helps a lot from bruises. well, from what i've heard, the 12ga pardner pump is what correction officers use.
