Utah permit holders.. How long..

I've taken a class with an authorized Utah instructor, and I'm wondering how (typically) long does it take to get the permit?

I'm not about to call them and press the subject, but just wondered how long it normally takes from sending it in to actually seeing the permit?

Man... I'm glad I live in WA. We are "shall issue" and by law if they can't find a reason not to issue the permit, they have to issue the it within 30 days (60 days for non-residents). Now, if they find something that would have disqualified you after issuing it, they can then rescind the permit, but that's very rare.

I envy those of you who live in a state that doesn't throw you in jail for legally protecting yourself. I live on the state line, between the only two states that don't allow any form of CCW..
If it weren't for the fact that all of my family is here, and the fact that I have a job that I actually like, I'd be outta here..
Instead, I did what I had to do to protect myself where legal.

Hopefully it'll change soon.. I'm crossing my fingers, anyway..

Keep safe, Paper... and if you get the chance to move to a state where it's better for you (and everything falls into place), grab it! There's not much worse than worrying about how you're going to protect yourself or your family when you have to become a criminal to do so.

In Arkansas the waiting period is or was 90 days but I think it's fixing to change to lesser days waiting period.
Mine came sooner than that though, but it seem like for ever.

Mine was by Michael Bender, out of Madison, WI.

Here's his website.. Personal Protection Academy

I took it with a few dozen members at Beloit Rifle Club a bit over a month ago. I think I've mentioned, but the majority of the class revolved around the rights and responsibilties of a legal gun carrying person, as well as live fire exersizes at our range.

It was funny at times, because the majority of the people in the room were bullseye shooters (including myself).. It's a completely different mindset, when shooting for self defense.

Good thing that practice is so much fun!!
