Hehe, I've seen this posted a few times. I'm still trying to figure out if it's real or not.

I have to think that it is, because of the dust cloud that appears about 50ft away from him.

He must have been shooting high, it ricocheted downward and back at him, hit the ground in front of him, ricocheted upward into his ear piece.

Lucky guy

TF, the bullet did not hit the shooters head but did remove his hearing protection.

This was on Military.com some time ago..

Had he taken the bullet in the face, I would call him unlucky

I don't think it would have killed him. The bullet was probably moving about 100-200fps on impact (remember, it takes a long of energy to turn a bullet completely around, sending it in the direction that it came).

Nonetheless, it would have hurt, a lot. Broken bones and a minor concussion might be the least of his worries had it struck him in the face.

At the public range A guy (my friend) dustin shot himself by a ricochet he shot a rock he put on the range and took the 40 S&W bullet to the left chest between the neck and arm. it only went in barely under the skin he was lucky. the range rules state no hard objects but he didn't listen

oh by the way the rock was 25 yards away

Yea, someone could have had some fishing line tied to his cap and someone could have shot where you see it hit then someone else pull the hat off? If not, and it is indeed real, that man should wake up every day and thank GOD for being alive. lol Cuz they are DAM lucky.

I believe bullets that bounce off things and continue in the same general direction are still very potent as I have seen them tear 1/2" limbs off,but the ones that bounce back seem to have used the better share of their energy.Still,no matter what direction riccochets are going in,they are still very dangerous and I believe they can hurt someone verry badly.I try not to let it happen. sam.

Does it remind anyone else of "a Christmas Story," and "you'll shoot your eye out, kid!"

It's real. Why does everybody automatically think things are faked or Photoshopped? Shit really does happen ya know. And I have to believe that a .50 cal slug in the face would have f'd poor ol' Willie up pretty bad. That sucker was flat screaming back at him.

I guess I only thought it might be, and said anything because so many things these days are photo shopped or faked rondog.

I'd have to ask you though, how do you know for sure it is real? I'm only asking, not trying to start anything. lol Do you know this person or know someone that knows them or something?

But in truth, I guess the odds of that happening are about the same as getting struck by lightning aren't they? lol

Ok then, how about the odds of being struck by lightning while standing next to a metal pole. What are the odds then? lol
