| clay disk shooting I went out with my friend to gun club and used a 20 gauge shotgun for clay pidgeon shooting, i got 28/50, that was the first time i had ever even fired a gun and im only 15. I had a great time and was just wondering if that is a decent amount of shots for the first time? |

| What lefty said. Your score will improve, and as long as you had fun, that's all that matters. Shooting clays is really addicting. |

| Clay birds are great fun and there's nothing wrong with that score for your first crack at it, in fact I'd be pretty happy with that for a novice

| Your score was great for 1st timer--I'd like my wife to shoot that well in our trap league although she is getting better--you keep it up- score is not as important as having fun. |

| Senior Member | Even if your score doesn't improve don't quit. You've found something that you really enjoy. Take some safety classes if they are available and keep shooting.

| Better'n fifty percent is good for a first timer. But as others have said, score don't matter. Veiw every shot as though it were the only shot. Next time out, every time you have a miss ask yourself "What felt different". Don't look at a miss as a miss, but as a chance to determine what was out of place. |

| Welcome Ninja S. What a great way to get started! To shoot a shotgun is one thing but to fire 50 rounds with 28 hits is Cool. A lot of people would love to do as well as you did. Keep at it and have fun. It's very nice to see the youth of our country enjoying shooting today! GLS |
