second chance

Ok everybody, when the poop hits the fan and you happen to be out of reach of your trusty six shooter, what is your second option , KNIFE ? Pepper spray ? Hand to Hand ? Badass Dog ? Scream and Run ? we all need a fall back plan, what is yours.....

I carry a 3.5" folder on me as well as my GLOCK 27. So if I was in a place, such as a bar, where it was illegal to carry my G27, I'd have my knife and my hands (8 years of martial arts counts for something, no matter how 'rusty' you may be) and anything else handy, for that matter.

I had to stop and decide between an ax and a knife, but the knife won. It's slightly more practical over all.

2 big 80+ lb. dogs live here, one is a staffordshire/pit bull/mix that would (hopefully) buy some time, but a 3 1/4 spring assist, one hand open Kershaw is always by my right hand in my jeans if need be. 77" wingspan and sz. 13 boot count?

Simply put, any of the above, plus anything else that came to mind.

In my house, I'm never outa reach of something that shoots, but, just in case, I have a stout, hickory pick-axe handle that'll shatter collar bones with ease. F the knife. Gets slippery with blood on it and you have to be real close.

Until I turn 21 and get my CCW, I am trying to figure out the laws in my state (Oklahoma) about carrying knives. If I don't have one of those on me, I will be counting on my agility to get me out of the situation (whether I have to box them, hit them with anything I could find, or simply outrun them).

However, as wierd as it may sound, I typically set my carbine near me whereever I am in the house, heh.

You do what you have to.

If it's 1 dude we're talking about, and he means you, your family, pet, ect harm, and he seems to be intent to kill, then by all means, go totally crazy on him.

"Crazy" can be a wide variety of things...

Anywhere from punches, kicks, and grabs and throws, to stabbing with a knife, hacking away with an ax or hatchet, or just going into feral mode and start scratching, biting, ripping, tearing, gouging...

You know.

Like a crazy animal.

:]

Or...

You could use your other gun.

Haha
