Belt Pouch Vs. Stock Pouch

I am considering buying a set of two magazines, which are both Underwoods, and it says it comes with an original "belt pouch" as well. I am curious if the belt pouch is the same as the stock pouch. I thought I read that somewhere, and they look similar, so I need you guys' help
(I really want one of the stock pouches, because it looks sweet)

A stock pouch can be used as a belt pouch but a belt pouch cannot be used as a stock pouch.
The belt pouch has two straps sewn on the back of the pouch that the web belt slides through. These straps are too small to fit on a stock.
The stock pouch has a large opening that will facilitate the stock. It also has a snap in the center of the opening that relates to a snap on the web belt.
The front of each pouch looks similar.
Stock pouches are a bear to install because of the tight fit...they do look good but can sometimes be a problem to get the magazines into the pockets. Need to make sure the snap gets into the sling well to prevent it from scratching up the stock.
Hope this answers your question.

oldjarhead is correct. Also there isnt such a thing as a "stock pouch" . They were never meant to be used on a carbine stock, meant for a web belt. Its just some GI ingenuity that figured that one out.
