Interesting thing about Bear Repellent-marked pepper spray is it's the only kind of pepper spray they'll allow you to take across the border to Canada. It has to be specifically marked as animal-repellent, though.

If at the house, it's a none issue, way to many weapons well within arms reach. If out walking where I couldn't have my .45 then it would be the dogs and the carbon tipped walking stick along with my Kukri. Last resort would be hand to hand, way to easy to get hurt that way.

Well, I'm pretty good with hand to hand... I also often have a knife of some sort on me. I also have a decent collection of swords and spears.

Rely on my basic training hand to hand combat training, right. Just like using a useless night stick, the ones with the silly handle to take out a knee cap, please. First time I tried that BS, I almost got my butt kicked, Ended up using it like what it was made for "club". Anyone who has been in combat will agree, when it comes time theres no time to pick and choose when its right here, right now. Theywon't be coming to your door collecting for RedCross, it'll be when your out somewhere, unfortified like the riots in L.A. Don't forget they'll be armed too. I like last resorts hatchet and compound bow for psycologial effect. My favorite in the Nam was Fugas.

Hand grenade. Most times all you have to do is pull the pin. If they run off replace the pin and it's good for another occasion.
