rate of twist in Savage 99 250-3000

I have a Savage 99 in 250-3000 mfg in 1950. Anyone know barrel twist rate? I have read that savage made some in 1in 10, others in 1 in 14, depending on year of manufacture. Also what is beat bullet wt. for each of these twist rates?
