I have a cpl so I am in need of a few speed loaders and a holster for it I have been looking on line and in the local gun shop no one in the shops were we'll to help me (some thing i found odd seeing as i was the only person in the shop with money at hand and more then willing to spend it.) Iam also gonna post a pic of the gun I think maybe the prevease owner got the gun setup for moon clips there is a 16th of an inch between the back of the round and the gun. it fires and everything . any help would rock thanks |

They make speedloaders for it but I can't think of the brand name right off the top of my head I'll post it up when I think of it.

I used to have a Taurus 608 "combat" model that wore a 3" tube and was DAO. I loved it except that it was DAO, something that I just don't like in a revolver. Anyway, I had bought some Maxfire speed loaders. They were black rubber and seemed like a great concept. But I didn't find them very useful at all. The rounds were always falling out and loading was difficult at best because the rounds would wiggle around so much that I couldn't get all 8 to line up. They just did not work for me. Here's what I had, but I don't recommend them: MidwayUSA - Maxfire Revolver Speedloader 38 Special, 357 Magnum 8-Shot Package of 2 Concerning a holster, I used an Uncle Mike's Sidekick hip holster in size 2. Again, I had a 3" barrel, but there seemed to be about an inch of extra room, so I think your 4" barrel would fit perfectly. Incidentally, I now use that holster for my 4" Taurus 44 Mag Tracker and it fits perfectly. Good Luck, ClayMan |

I have one. 6" ported barrel and I love it. I have some pics posted in this thread: http://www.gunandgame.com/forums/tau...tml#post369213 (My 2 Cents On Taurus) I just, in fact, got speedloaders not a month ago. They are here, from Midway USA: MidwayUSA - Maxfire Revolver Speedloader 38 Special, 357 Magnum 8-Shot Package of 2 (Edit: Just beat me to it, Clayman) They're rubber and not too bad. Although I did need to leave them in place overnight to shape them to the revolver itself so the loading would be smooth. Ten bucks for 2, so really, can't complain. But you do need to break them in a bit so whipping them away from the rounds is smoother. But they're about the only ones I could find. The ones I have seat the rounds pretty solidly. If it was altered for moon clips, I'm not sure it'd fire "loose" rounds safely. I'd make sure, that 16th of an inch could be a problem down the line. - Coeloptera |

sorry for taking so long to reply truck driver life it sucks.the space is only a few thousandths but the procedure to make moon clips work will leave the ability to fire lose rounds . i got no idea what iam gonna do for a holster i find anything. On a side note my little sister said to just get a cowboy gun belt for it . that kinda made me laugh . ill be all set if i can find a gun smith locally that can do it. |
