Rockola M1 Carbine Bayonet - Help!

Hi,
My husband received a Rockola M1 Carbine from his Dad and there is a logo on the bayonet that is an R in fancy "English" type lettering with a crown over it. We're trying to find out what it means and if anyone has any info about what the R is for, or any history. Thanks in advance!

Does the bayonet have Brown Bakelite handles ???
Or could it be a crowned "K" ?

Hi, no, it's a stacked leather handle. However, I think it couldbe a K, if it helps at all, the sheath for it has U.S.M8AI on it. The crowned R or K is also stamped at the end of the handle. Thanks for your response! Hope this reply is helpful!

You have a Norwegian manufactured M4 bayonet that is an exact copy of the leather-gripped US M4 bayonet. The segmented leather grip has six grooves and resin spacers at each end. The front of the crossguard is marked U.S.M4 over a Crowned K, which is the mark for the Norwegian Kongsberg Arsenal. The same arsenal mark is also found on the end of the pommel.
