I would like to know what circumstances might get a FFL application denied?

That is a Question asked a lot...BATFE seems to have certain Criteria that can change at any time...
Some are...
1. An arrest record , even if you were not Prosecuted.
2. You are under Investigation by a Gov't Agency for anything.
3. Not having an actual "Storefront Business" as they have closed most in-home dealers across the U.S.
4. Dishonorable Discharge from the Armed Forces.
5. Owed Back Taxes
6. Past history of Mental Illness OR Post traumatic Stress Syndrome (Soldier?)
7. Known association with Gangs, KKK, Terrorist groups, Protesters
8. Unpaid Traffic tickets
9. Form not filled out properly
10. Denial by the Chief LEO of your town or County
11. Just because they did Not want to issue it....
12. Who the heck Knows !!!

Don't forget basic intimidation. They threatened to "come see" my in home shop at 3:00 a.m. if I renewed my license in 1996. That, in addition to threatening to investigate me considering local city zoning regulations (i'd already cleared that up).

Frankly, the thoughts of ATF officers busting in my door at 3:00 a.m. and shooting my wife and kids took the fun all out of it.
