Good .22 For a Southpaw

Doesn't Browning still offer their 22 Automatic rifle, with a crossbolt safety and downward ejection?

There used to also be a Chi-Com copy of it as well.

Brother Bob, I have the Browning auto. It's the little auto. It's fun to shoot and it does have bottom ejection. It's not like my Ruger Mark 11 pistol or my Remington 550-1 that seem to never jamb. This little guy has a tendency to jamb but it's because of it's design and the need to be cleaned and taken apart on a regular basis. It's a pricey little gun and it is shiny but if you want something that almost never jambs I'd stay away from it.

Browning .22 autoloader.I have owned one since 1969 and it is still a very accurate as well as a dependable rifle.Good choice for a southpaw.

In the vintage category, Mossberg made some left-hand .22 rifles back in the early-mid 20th century. Might be worth it to track one down, on Gunbroker or Auction Arms. Mossberg .22 rifles are among the best! I have seven of them - alas, no southpaws though.

Buy a 10/22 and a left handed stock for it.

I can't believe I saw browning above 10/22! LOL

Marlin modle 60 is good but if you want to accesorise go for the 10/22.

But I still like the marlin bolt rifles.

Thanks guys! A buddy of mine had a .22 bolt that I just loved. It was probably a Remington. This is going back to 1972. We would shoot bull frogs with it. That sucker was sure accurate. Using the iron sites, we'd shoot frogs in the head all the way across the ponds! Oh well. Thanks again. Brother Bob

I am a lefty and have a Norinco like the one mention above. It is pretty accurate and super light. Good squirrel gun.

CZ 452 american has southpaw configs. Having a McMillan edge stock put on it.
