| The M1891 rifle, the 1891 Dragoon and the 1891/10 carbine were all made before the 91/30 came along. And Geo, you cant forget the Stab your foe on the other side of the river without ever leaving the comfort of you Hole Model.

| Oh Yeah... I knew there was one missing. Thanks MS. You have to admit that a 91/30 with fixed bayo is pretty impressive. I always make sure the garage door is closed before bringing the whole assembly out for cleaning. Would scare the heck out of the neighbors. There was an 1891/10 carbine? oooooh! Me want one dose.

| No... Carbines are for pain loving masochists who like big booms, and fireballs not to be confused with balls o fire (can be painful if pointed in the wrong direction). Whoo hoo! ![]()

| Yeah its like a M38 but it was before the unit of measure was changed from arshin to meters, and there also very rare. Its in a US Army Ordinace Corps manual from 1954 for Soviet Mosin Nagants It was the the lightest of all carbines (7.7 lbs), everything else was the same between it and the M38, except the following: 1.Unprotected blade sight same as 1891 rifle 2.Leaf sight same as 1891 rifle 3.Was sight indexed to 2000 arshins(about 1560 yards) 4.ALWAYS has a hexagonal reciever It also has a flush fitting butt stock and top handguard similar to the M39 So, if you see a "M38" with the above description, you probably have stumbled upon a M91/10 carbine and you should buy it right away.

| Military Rifle Collector ![]() | I bet it was the M1891 rifle, the 1891 Dragoon and the 1891/10 carbine were all made before the 91/30 came along. What do I win?
