Talking m91/30 Range Report

Hi,
I'm new to posting to G&G but have been lurking for quite a while.

I finally was able to get the range this weekend after being able to only clean and admire my mosin for a couple of months.

I was able fire some wolf 148gr, some 1980's russian, and some 55 bulgarian yellow tip.

All of the ammo fired great. I would have to say the bulgarian was the best. I had a few a couple of times I had to tug the bolt open on the wolf, but no major issues.
I was able to get about a 2.5" inch group at 100 yards with 5 shots.

I will have to say it was one of the best rifles we had at the range that day. It performed great for an inexpensive milsurp with cheap milsurp ammo.

It was only out performed by a 7mm Rem Mag and a 30'06 and those were both scoped!

It's an overall great rifle! I love it and can't wait to get an M44!

"cant wait to get an M44"?

sounds like hes already been bitten by the Mosinitis bug, and there is NO CURE. Believe me, get two in the house and they start breeding.

Congrats and welcome!

I like the 91/30s a lot better than the M44s. The long guns seem to shoot better for me and have less recoil. But everyone needs at least 5 of each type, year, arsenal, variation, stock style, modifications style, scratch and sniff style....

Welcome parad0X . Fun to shot aren't they? I think I'm partial to the 91/30s myself, but since I have one, an M44 is next. Then another 91/30...then another M44....

Welcome to Mosin Madness. At first it's just one or two... then all of a sudden it's 7!

The next one (after the M44) to get is the M39. It is a match for the Rem and the 06... without a scope.
