Exactly. Use common sense..
I sold a couple old Yugo SKS's that I had for a year or more, for 3 times what I paid for them. I then turned around and purchased a couple Swedish Mausers to take thier places..
Just remember to record the sale in your bound book. Too much info on the buyer is better than not enough.. You need name, address and birthdate for proof of age, and then a DL number, or anything else to verify that the purchaser was eligible and a legal gun owner. If selling to another collector, get his/her FFL number. Keep all paperwork, too..
In other words, cover your butt..
