I got scared a new law was passed banning the import of mil-surp rifles and ammo, I was about to head to Jax and buy every case of 7.62x54 and 7.62x39 they had!

the bulgarian HB FMJ is either 185gr or higher, never can remember....and so i guess 675rd of 183gr FMJ for $150, is prolly better deal than 900rd of 185gr(or better) FMJ for $150($.17/rd)........ so i guess Prvi Partizan is imported premium ammo? since it costs same as 7.62x39 winchester ammo....gawd, hope those prvi's are gold plated or something....seriously tho....whats so special about those, are they supposed to be as 'well-assembled' and 'weighed' as handloaded rounds?

Did you get the sellers card? That's a hell of a good price for boxer primed brass. I just paid $62 (shipped) for 100 rounds of Prvi Partizan (same as Wolf Gold) and thought that was a great deal.

reloading isn't news to me, but it's still new to me....meaning i've never attempted it, except to swap out stuff between 2 different rounds, etc....what i mean is, i've never gone in and changed primers etc....is not all centerfire ammo reloadable? do the new primers not fit? or are some old primers not removeable? those are questions that would do me great good....cuz I've been saving shells that i've used to send to some ppl that reload, but if they arent reloadable, then i'll just toss em.
Ones I have saved are the Winchester 7.62x54r SP (Czech made), the Czech FMJ light ball, the Bulgarian FMJ heavy ball, the Russian (Silver Bear) SP, and some copper-wash(i was told) ammo that was in a can that had a bunch of russian marks and the date looks to be either 1932 or 1982.

None of the MilSurp (Czech, Bulgarian, Russian, etc.) are reloadable with normal reloading tools. Silver Bear is steel case and not reloadable. the Bulgarian heavy ball is brass cased and has scrap brass value. Copper washed steel is also not reloadable.

Winchester, Wolf Gold, Prvi Partizan, Igman, Sellier & Bellot, are brass case, Boxer primed, reloadable.

Hope that helps.

Bottom line is that $.22 a round for boxer primed brass ammo is the bargain of the century, as normally it is $.60 a round shipped from AIM, and $.85 to $1.10 a round from everybody else (Sellier and Bellot, Wolf Gold, and Winchester). 675 rounds is the equivalent of at least 6750 rounds of reloading life.

(figuring ~10 reloads per round and some early failures).
