| which to get? ok, so a guy at my local range has two .22lr target rifles for sale. One is a schultz and larsen single shot for $325 and the other is a Winchester 52 for $500. which do you guys think is a better rifle, and which do you think is a better deal. thanks for the help |

| depending on which model 52 it is, i would choose the winchester. |

They appear to make quite nice centerfires and $325 (sight unseen) sounds good for any high quality gun. The Winchester 52 on the other hand from what I could see is a gun that "only a mother could love"! I guess perhaps nostalgic for the die hard peep sight military/target shooters... If you really want to evaluate which is best I would suggest buying 100 rounds of Eley Tenex and Lapua Midas M, and shooting 50 of each in each gun. Then decide based on accuracy and looks of the gun. Ron | |
