SCORED

Found a 1942 M91/30 Tula EX-Sniper today! All matching, beautifuly done splice. Good strong markings. Bore is PRIMO!!!!! No cosmoline at all. Was a local sell. Didn't want another 91/30 but I told myself, "I don't have an EX-Sniper!" $110. Will post a few pics later.

I'm serious man! I was headed over to get a shot-glass of gas for the truck. My Wife, The Chief of Smoke, called and said she was home early. This allowed me to stay outside and play some more.
Now, PURELY by coincedence, there's a Gun Shop nearby. So I goes in see. And he has 5 new Mosins see! 2 are Tula 91/30's, and damn if one ain't an Ex-Sniper! A quick inspection and I am pulling out the cash. I have $123, perfect! I walk out with a new Mosin and have enough for a shot glass of fuel AND a sodie-water! Life is good...

Steve, Steve, Steve. If you had haggled on that price you may have been able to buy two shot glasses of fuel.

Congrats! Please post pics!

Cap'n- It had the cn sniper markings, the cutout on the stock for the PU mount had been repaired/spliced, and yes I looked in the receiver just to be sure. There are Tula Snipers without the cn or CH stamping, and it could of just been a 91/30 in an old repaired Sniper stock. The plugged receiver sealed the deal.

Tex- I can live without the fuel, LOL!
