Anyone eaten axis deer?

I was just wondering if anyone has eaten axis deer.

no i haven't but i would guess they would taste like whitetail

Yes, have hunted and eaten on several occasions here in Texas. As much as I love to eat whitetail venison, it simply doesn't compare to AXIS meat. If you have a chance to hunt or eat Axis, don't pass up the opportunity.

I can't call BS on BS! Axis deer meat is sweater than white tail and a very mild flavor.
