Changing subject just a little.
Just bought couple boxes of surplus Swede 6.5 from Sportsman Guide. Dang! Dirty ammo! Cases are corroding.

M 96s all matching and in very good to excellent are $350 now. I have 3 in excellent condition.......all matching. The barrel on one is seriously copper fouled and I'm not having a lot of luck getting it out. There is only one gunshop in town that has a good selection of C$Rs and the only M38 he's had in over a year was one of his that he decided to sell. I hesitated one day and it was gone!

Dang Mike! You're on my case today! If the cases are corroded, I don't think I would put it through my Swedes!

So what to do? I want to put a scope on it and use it. Its not a collector but would make a great shooter as the bore is really good on it and its in overall excellent shape.

Numbers dont match, stock has been refinished, blueing shows very very little wear.
I'm laughing my ass off with all the by-play, guys, but I think we lost the way... I'm just sitting here panting looking at that good-looking Swede! I think Soonerborn got a really nice deal!
