Wife get her bear

After a few trips to Maine, my wife Debbie finally scored last fall on her first bear. She used a .450 Marlin and finished it with a shot from a .44 mag. Afterwards, she had some bourbon to calm her nerves. I took a bear also, but hers was the bigger one.

Rambo: Sir; you're fortunate to have such a hunting partner.
You'd better behave cause now she knows
Thanks for sharing

Thumbs up

Congratulations! Now...what will become of the hide, head, etc? Will you have it made into a rug?

Hers went 225 and was a sow. Mine, a boar, almost got to 190lbs. All the drive home from Maine she kept saying she wanted a full body mount so that's what she's getting. She does have to lose a piece of furniture in the livingroom though, to put the thing.
BTW, for Mothers Day I got her a S&W Model 629, 6" bbl. for backup on her next hunt.
