Hunting Illegals

Okay guys this may have been discussed while I was away on vacation in Oct/Nov but I wanted to see if we should be getting credit for this. Many of you remember our discussions about firing the border patrol and we the citizens of this country taking up arms and going out to guard our borders. Well it seems a fellow American has taken this idea literally he has organized a group of armed citizens to patrol the southern border to hunt for illegals that the border patrol is not stopping.

There are about three groups down there,one recently caught some drug smugglers,and the Govt. is really P.O.'d at them.

Kind of a useless gesture in the long run. If they kill the illegals, they're guilty of murder. If they hand 'em to the authorities, the illegals are released, probably put on the dole - free housing, school, medical, etc. If they are deported, they come back like a bad dog.

Seems the illegals have more rights than citizens these days.

I've been reading about them at sierratimes.com.

They are sick and tired of illegals trespassing on thier land, heck some people have been robbed, home invasion style by illegals looking for food and water.

The Mexican Army has been helping with the drug trade and the illegal people trade. A couple of border patrol agents have been shot at by the Mex Army - where's the gummit - out there getting all pissed at people standing up and protecting what is thiers. Them illegals ain't got a single right to be up here, if they want in make 'em wait in line.

fine if they are using home invasion tactics then set up traps that they will have a good place to try and invade and a 50 cal waiting for the door to be breached - upon the door or windows being breached the target is wasted

Vicente Fox is nothing more than a money accepting, scared, puppet for the crime lords in Mexico.

He lied to Bush and to us when he pledged cooperation at the border and then showed his true colors when he chastised Bush for not opening up the borders.

Bush's dogs convinced Bush and Fox that our current system was the best for the time being and now the land owners along the borders are showing both sides how foolish the government's position has been over the years.

However, I think that what the land owners are doing is going to get them moved off their lands quicker than them solving any problem.

On the other hand, sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do and I can certainly empathize with the landowners.

I read and read about the illegals and their activities against property and people in southern Arizona. It's all too public since it's happeing in our back yards.

I have dealt with INS who would quickly tell us not to make arrests of illegals unless a felony has been committed. Otherwise, they don't want to be bothered.

It's a d a m n if you do and d a m n if you don't as a property owner. I sure hope what the landowners are doing doesn't come back to haunt them.

It's not a matter of racism. It's a matter of what's wrong and what's right.

I guess, according to your father-in-law if a mass movement against our borders, be it by land, sea or air, by terrorists (of whatever race) and we step up we're considered racists?

I wonder (and ask him) what woulda happened, and where our society would be now, if we worried about that when the British stepped ashore in the mid 1770s?

call me anything you like. but the fact is people are threatened by the illegals and the gummint does nothing!!! why don't the peasants cross the border legal??? why do they pay smugglers to get them across???

i read the democrapic underground daily, and i am constantly amazed at the puke spewed there. biggest bunch of whining, sniveling, complainers going. personal inititive be damed, let the gummint do it, with the holyer than thou crapola.

Logansdad its not racism what we are talking about here we are talking about the constant flow of illegals coming over our borders. These are criminals unless you consider criminals a new race then I see no claim for racism. The criminals that are not being prosecuted by our government need to pay for their crimes and in some way that may mean that our own citizens have to take it into their own hands to solve the problem. think of what is done in europe you cross a border illegally you are immediately shot -- i kinda like that it what are your thoughts on preventing the terrorists that entered over x-mas through Canada - shooting an illegal is doing a service to the country

Well this is a real hot potato and close to home here, one of my friends from UNM college days is a border crossing guard, he tells me they are understaffed, ill equipt, and thier budget keeps getting slashed under the bush admin( sorry dubya you have to do something), he lives in sunland park (thats about 2 miles from the border, about 3 miles from El Paso), he tells me the illegals are basically swarming over, and there is little they can do about it, many ranchers in southern New Mexico are resigned to the situation, and post signs on thier land to please close the gates in spanish, to keep thier livestock in, but those illegals pick our crops( no american would do this), and maintain a cheap working force to keep our food bills low, its not as bad as it looks at first glance, most of them have family in mexico and only come across to send money home and usually return to mexico at end of harvest (crap i sound like a demonrat), but its true, whats really the problem is the drug smugglers, these guys are getting more violent, and will not hesitate to shot at crossing guards, the typical paths for drug smugglers is getting closed off and they hire "mules" to run them over the border, and they are mean bas-tards, one of my friends collegues was wounded at organ pipe national park by a smuggler

Well I geuss the point I was making was that most illegals from Mexico return to thier homes in Mexico, the few bucks thay can earn here go a long way in the Mexican economy, and they arent stupid enough to think they can get by here with no green card, even if they are caught they just come back, next time you eat that head of lettuce, I can garuntee who picked it (wash it well)
