Rugger .22 Mark 1. Given to me as a Bday gift in 1962. Still own. I did have a Mini14 blued bought in 1977. Sold it... I loved that gun. My experience with Ruger as far a quality... outstanding, and can hit what I am at.

I have a SS Service Six, 2 and 3/4 inch barrel 357, Blued Mark 11 Government 22 and a SS New Model single six 22. Love to just get them out and feel the quality when I'm not shooting them!

My 1022s One plain ol' and one tricked out Bull barrel are good and reliable just need to be cleaned or they become jam-a-matics.
My MkII 4"BB is great, compared to my S&W 41 4" I'll take the Ruger, Had a Victor wish I had it back.
My Vaqueros 2 OM 44mag are greatshoot a little low with my reload, but the ammo is tune for my marlin 1894ss at 25 yds. My 2 in 45LC 1 OM and 1 NM same thing with reloads, Im gonna trade the OM in for a NM as soon as I get my permits, I like the smaller frame and the "colt" grip better.

I have two.

I have a .357 Blackhawk (blued) and a .45 long Colt New Vaquero (stainless). Both of them are excellent guns. However, i must admit, i did get a dud Ruger once. It was a Super Blackhawk in .44 magnum, it threw cylinder pins, not just threw them, chewed through and destroyed them. After replacing the fifth one, i had had enough, and sold it. I never used hot ammo in it, just factory loads. I even tried just shooting .44 specials out of it. The gun didn't care, it just kept throwing cylinder pins. I figure it must have been a factory blunder. I don't know if the guy i sold it to ever got it fixed, I told him about the problem and wished him luck, and i sold it cheap, because i didn't hold out much hope for him. On the other hand, i've had the .357 for over 20 years without a malfunction of any kind and i've put hundreds, probably over 2000 rounds through it without a single hitch. But it's okay about the .44, i figure even the best gun company makes a mistake once in a while.

I've got 2-10/22 customized (plus 1 out of box my wife has) and a Super Redhawk .44 Magnum. So something from each side of the caliber spectrum.

I've had a Red Label 12 ga. and a M77 Mark II in 338 that were dogs. The low price and poor fit and finish should have been a clue on the Red Label. But tha gun and was clumsy and poorly balanced even for a field gun. The fit and finish on the .338 (the bore was rough and the crown scored) were poor and the safety lever broke off the first time I hunted with it and Ruger eventually fixed both guns, but service was too slow.

I've also had a 10/22 and a Mark II target pistol that shot well and, while they also needed some help on fit and finish and some parts (sears and extractors), were both easy for the amateur to work on and well supported by aftermarket products.

My Ruger is a P85 MK2 9mm I just bought from the internet. It's the first Ruger I have ever owned but it will not be the last.Who ever owned it took great care of it and I am sure they sold it because of money problems. There has been about 400 rounds put through it since purchased and not once has it misfired. It looks and shoots like a new gun even though it was made in 1992.If all Rugers are this good there will be more in my collection.Guess you could say I'm a total Ruger man.I am currently looking at the new SR9 for a light carry gun.

My first Ruger is a Single Six (three-screw w/5 & 1/2 inch barrel) with the interchangeable .22 Mag cylinder. I bought it back in '76 and still have it!
Next was the Super Blackhawk (.44 Rem. Mag.) I bought used back in '78. This is undoubtedly the most accurate handgun I have ever fired!!! And I still have that one!!!
Since then I have bought and sold (or swapped) a Ruger M77R in .270 Win. (always had problems with the forward guard screw coming loose....even in a synthentic stock); a Ruger M77 in 250 Savage (thought it should have done better than the 2+ - inch groups it was delivering, even after being glass bedded!) I WON'T even mention the Ruger 77/22 (one of the originals) I got rid off!
The varmint-weght M77R in .243 Win. CONSTANTLY delivered MOA groups with anything that was shot through it! I felt at that time, that it should have done better, so I got rid of that one, too!
I currently have a most accurate M77R in 25--06 Rem. equipped with a Redfield 4x-12x scope; along with a P90 in 45ACP (my second one, as I swapped off, in a fit of insanity, my first one on a Marlin 17VLS), and a Security Six (4" barrel) in .357 Mag.(also my 2nd one!!). Add to this a New Model Blackhawk in 45LC/45ACP convertible (w/5& 1/2" barrel) that I bought new when they were re-introduced back in '94! The afore-mentioned Security-Six and 45 NM Blackhawk are NIB!!!!
