Savage 1914 Parts Schematics

I Recently Bought A 1914 Savage Model Hammerless Pump 22 And Need To Replace A Few Parts (or Make Them) But I Cannot Find A Parts Breakdown For This Model . Any Help Would Be Appreciated.i Do Not Plan On Shooting It But I Would Like It To Function Properly.

I have a model 1914 with a few parts missing, barrel has been smooth bored.
Stock is in good condition.

I inherited a Savage model 1914 pump action .22 from my grandfather. However its missing its magazine tube assembly. When I was 16, I wasn't aware how rare the rifle was and let a friend borrow it. The magazine tube fell out and I have been looking for a replacement part ever since. I believe my grandfather would rest in peace a little easier if I could find a replacement part. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you ever get your gun fixed? I am in the same situation you were in. I have found a gun smith in West Point, UT who can build parts if he has something to work from. If you have not got yours fixed we might be able to help each other by sending both guns to my gun smith who could then use parts from both guns to create parts each of us needs.

I can provide a name and phone number if you want to speek with the gun smith. I got his card from a major outfitter in our area.

Hi guys sorry if I'm butting in, but newbe with question. Did they make a reproduction of the Savage model 1914 22 pump?

I seen one today at a flea market that looked absolutely new condition, the guy said he was told it was "redone". I have looked at allot of old guns but this looks new. Hex barrel and has the 1906/1915/1916 patented dates also says below the site "Model 1914" but also says on the side "Not designed for high speed cartridges"?... Thanks SB

update.. Well I went back and bought it for $265, sure does look new (everything nice and sharp) but the guy said the fellow he bought it from paid $350 to restore it and it was a nice clean gun to start with, it has a 5 digit serial# 450xx... anyone have an idea of the age?

I have a Model 1914, octagon barrel with a 4 digit serial number. It has been in the family since the early 40's. I wrote the Savage Arms Co. around 1966 asking about the date of manufacture and got a short reply stating 1914, as if it was obvious. Had it hot blued in the early 70's and a cracked firing pin replaced. It is not marked with a hi-speed cartridge warning.

Check out Brownells or Midway. They sell easy to assemble (provided you have some mechanical ability and basis tools) tube magazine kits. I believe they even have one for the Savage Model 29 which should fit the 1914.
Or... most gunsmiths will custom build one for you (most likely from one of these kits) for about the same price.
Unless originality is an issue, there's no reason to go w/o a tube magazine replacement. EVER.
