| I bought a 6" stainless Security-Six almost twenty years ago. I've found it to be accurate, reliable and as solid as a rock.
I'm a big fan of the K-frame S&W guns, but for the .357 magnum loads I've always liked the Security-Six. I seldom shoot any really heavy loads and never saw the need to move up to a GP100.
One thing, though. If you buy the gun, get a new pair of stocks. The original wood is too small, IMHO. We used to joke that Bill Ruger made a great revolver, but he is still working on his first tree. |
