1911 is a difficult weapon to become proficient with. The ergonomics (hey the gun was invented before the word) of the weapon are not near as good as a newer Beretta, Sig, or Glock. The actual weapon is fairy accurate but learning to aim such a HEAVY hangun takes a lot of time.

I personally use a revolver when I want to be accurate (Ruger Security Six) but I also have a Ruger P89 for a semiauto. It's notorious for being inaccurate but I have never been able to hit crap with an auto in my life. I got it because it came with 3 - 15 rd clips, I really need that many chances.
