| Encore 209X50 - removal of breach plug I got in a used Encore 209X50 barrel, How do I remove the extractor in order to remove the breach plug? The breach plug looks fowled and I need to see what's behind it to avoid un-due corrosion. Any help would be greatly appriciated... |

| pull the takedown pin from the bbl and the extractor will come out. the bbl has to be removed inorder to take the breach plug out.

| Take Down pin ? Take down pin? Do you have a pic. It isn't the hinge pin that holds the barrel in the receiver, The only other pin I see is a small pin in the block that is welded under the barrel. Is that it? just push it through? |

| Found it! There is a screw in the block that is welded to the barrel that holds the extractor in. Once removed, the extractor slid right out. Thanks Colt 45 for the direction. |
