I don't think it is pre-ban. It looked fairly modern, though I do not know what upgrades Beretta has made to the 92 over the past ten years.

Mind ya now, on department letter head, I can get a 92/96 at LEO price from Gt Distributors in Austin. But I don't think it's much cheaper. Seems like Beretta 92's seem to hover around the five hundred $$ range brand new/high cap for us cops.
