| Getting Harder to Find
Original Mausers are getting harder to find as they are absorbed by new collectors. I like to see them sporterized and otherwise boogered up. Makes my originals more interesting. Having the crest is important, otherwise it's just a shooter.
Check all the serial numbers: butt plate, magazine floor plate, barrel bands, sight and of course that the bolt matches the receiver. If not, it will probaly shoot okay, but is no bargain, and becomes something quite common.
