In June Staff Sgt. john Beale was killed in action in Afghanastan. His body arrived home in Georgia on July 11. A notice was put in the local paper about his death and the procession from the airport to the funeral home. The trip was approximately 30 miles. I am absolutely amazed at the amount of people that came out to pay their respects to Staff Sgt. Beale. As a Veteran of OIF I try to go to the funerals of our local fallen heroes. Although I didn't go to Staff SGT. Beales I did find this video clip of it. As I said before the number of people that came out to pay their last respects to him goes to show that there are still plenty of people out there that respect what our Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen and Marines do for freedom. This video is a very moving tribute to him. I am not ashamed to say that I cried through about half of it. This video just goes to show that no matter how bad things may seem in our country right now people will still come together to show respect for another fallen hero.
