I bet so, I think it was mounted down pretty good but even then the precussion must have been felt pretty good.
I dont think I will ever get the chance to partake in the slack jaw firing of one of those beasts, although I have been stubborn enough to live up to one of my mottos:
If it is made to be shot, and is structurably sound I will shoulder it,
and/or hold it, and/or just pull the trigger. (at least once)
there are a few acceptions to this rule of mine including several cheaply made hanguns like the 25. cal junkers usually located exiled in their own case away from the nice handguns. Another acception would be something like the French full auto that was used before the BAR was adopted.
I am not too picky tho "the worst gun is better than your next best alternative"
