If It Is A SAR-1 ?Probably? OK. Other Romanians Check Carefully/Avoid. I Have A Lot Of Aks, I Would Reccomend The Arsenal Bulgarian SLR Series. These Are Available At
SOG International 1.800.944.4867. They Are Pricecy[$270 To $499], But Are Worth
It. Beats Fine Tuning Junk! My Son Got A SAR-1 On A Laminated Stock From AIM
Surplus....It's A Beauty. Unfortunately They Were In Short Supply And Apparently Dried
Up. So Have Your FFL Provider Contact SOG And Treat Your Self To A Premium AK
That Will Give A LifeTime Service. I Have One Of These And Love It The Best! Be Sure
To Check Out All Models Carefully,The Lower Cost Models Will Not Accept Hi-Cap Mags.
Good Luck And God Bless

Contact them first to make sure is not a WASR10 Hi-cap...many places are showing pics of SAR1's and sending WASR's. Then people are getting pizzed because of it when it was there own faults for not checking and clarifying this.

WASR is an okay rifle, but its no SAR-1. Most WASR's suffer from magwell slop from being converted and have no dimples in their receiver like a true stamped AK.

CHECK WITH THEM FIRST!

Not bad...just check it carefully for canted sights...loose handguards...magwell slop.

If you can't find a SAR-1...the WASR is a good substitute....thats what I started on....

Cool

:assult: :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult:

Joe, last thursday, I went back into the toystore and compared the 3 of them side by side and I noticed the diference in the receivers, the WASR didn't had the dimples and the mag guide was tig welded.

Other than that was no diferent from the SAR 1, they both were cheaply painted compared to the ARSENAL but better quality than the MAADI.

The only problem I see with the MAADI, is the canted sights and the trigger slap, but reliable as can be, allways go bang !!

I say that if you want top of the line, go with the Milled Arsenal, if stamped is what you want, get the SAR 1 or the VEPR, I haven't tried the VEPR yet, but Joe seems to know it very well !!

Ahh, you can go for the SAIGA and stick to single stack mags or modify it for Hi Cap

maybe Hi-Point could come out with a carbine in 7.62 Soviet that takes Ak mags. bet NRAJOE would even break down for one of them.
