This isn't the only thread Irish was trying to pick fights in. Maybe the man should go back to having a beer now and then; it might mellow him out.
As far as the legal name goes, in a court of law they'd probably be given their proper name, and the lawyers would add, "sometimes known as a Romanian Dragunov." Or some sort of legalese in that vein.

any of the AK type rifles are pretty much junk. Very loose rifles and very inaccurate. Fun to shoot though.

| Romainian PSL 54's
I was just looking at them last night on Gun Broker..... I'm planning on buying one in Jan. (tax return time I already have a Mosin Nagent, (Finnish).. No..... They aren't a Soviet Dragunuv...But with the lighter loads they look like a lot of bang for the buck to me,
Other posters have confirmed that so I'm going to get one, Thanks.
I have the Arsenal Nevada Bulgarian SLR101S, I find that to be an excellent rifle... I replaced my Maadi Egyptian stamped with it.
I just joined tonight, I'm going to look through the forums.....
I a gun nut just like you guys..... I have a Desert Eagle 44, a Masterpeice Arms Mac9....I love em both......I used to have a Cobray years ago??? (Crap)
Check out the new Masterpeice Arms versions.... I highly reccomend them, My Buds who have shot mine agree..... Theyre back to the Powder Springs quality in my opinion.
Anybody know a good bulk source of 44 mag JHP for Desert Eagles??
I'm looking for 500/1000 rd deals.... Dennis

My buddies have come around, but they brought their Colt AR15's over to my place and we shot them a lot..... They ran out of excuses, Ammo, Magazines, it needs to be cleaned... There had to be a reason their $1200 rifle couldn't clear a 30 rd mag without jamming.... (I actually fired ONE that could....) No..... AK's arent as accurate.... But they FUNCTION...

Thank you | The original poster of this thread, BRG3, makes stock sets for the PSL and Saiga firearms.
You can visit him and see his work at: Dinzagarms.com

| I got Gassed!!!
I currently own several variations of SKS models and a Romanian AK 47 and an FPK all of them quality fire arms. I was fooled by the "Dragunov" nomenclature as well, as I had never actually seen one. A person trusts their gun dealer to know what they are selling. My FPK was labeled at the gun dealer I use, as a " Dragunov" I purchased the rifle not knowing what it actually was took it home and started to research on the web and got the answers I wanted. I shared this information with my gun dealer and we agreed that we would both research our next firearms purchase when it came to Eastern Bloc fire arms. If one has questions about any Russian or Yugo or Romanian fire arms there are several good websites and local gun show that should have reading material on the weapons of choice. Borders Book stores have good reference books available those would be a history of fire arms books and are informative. I appreciate this blog and am actively seeking a Russian AK 47 and a Russian Dragunov TIGR preferably military variants I have been looking for these for years I hope one day to find them.

If you do have a "Romanian Dragunov" the clips are specific to those fire arms if you are looking for replacements or extras they must have an X on the side. Those are the only ones that function properly, I know I found out the hard way.

You sure about that? I know the mags are serialized to rifles, but they are all the same. I have 2 PSL's that came with 4 mags each and I picked up a total of 8 others, all with different serial numbers. They are all completely interchangeable. Unless you are talking about SVD mags vs. PSL mags.
