My $200 AK...

Norinco MAK-90. To me, this is one of the best AK's I've seen in person(of course thats because it's now my gun LOL). One word came to mind when I first got my hands on it, smooth. This gun has the smoothest action/trigger. So, did I do good? I do have a few questions though. First, how do I tell what year it is? Second, the stock has no screws in it, so I need to pick some up, what do I need? And third, how much is this gun worth?

Your Mak90 Sporter appears to possibly be pre-ban Model since it takes 30 rd mags. Blue book value is $575 for a New/mint one, and they were banned from import around 1995 ! However I saw one NIB at the last gunshow for $395.

What screws are you missing , I cant tell from the Photos ???

The stock can slide on and off, so all of em. I need to recharge the batteries in my camera so I wont be able to post pictures until tonight. But the screw on the top of the stock is missing, and theres one missing on the underside of the stock like where a pistol grip screw goes.

The MAK is a nice gun. They go for around $400 used here. Iv'e shot one and like it alot. The thumbhole stock is like a moped, an ok ride but you don't want your friends to see you.

Actually I like the thumbhole stock, gives it a different type of look(atleast to me) than all the other AK's you'll see at the range or in the gunstore. I sent BRG3 this question also, but my rifle is missing both the top screw and the pistol grip screw. It's also missing whatever the pistol grip screw screws into. Where can I find these parts to replace them?

Try polytech.com for your missing parts. As far as the thumbhole stock, I think they are awsome and I shoot better with them than a normal stock. Everyone had their own personal taste. Did you see my pics at the range with my new guns? Check it out "now this was a fun day" is the name of the thread.

Nice. Hopefully I can get a hold of the screws I need this week and take a nice trip to the range this weekend.

It caught my eye, looks good. Did you build that one or buy it? For some reason I don't remember you posted about having an AR.

It was a purchase. It is really new and I didn't get a chance to brag about it. I am trying to prepare for the zombie invasion. I need to pick them off at a hundred yards with all my rifles in case one rifle is closer than the other.

It is a Bushmaster M4 5.56. It is so dang accurate that it isn't fun to shoot under 100 yards. THat is with the scope. I got to tell ya it is sweet. I now know why the military uses them becasue they work very well. Plus, magazines are cheap and good quality and ammo is easy to get.
