Uneven hand guard

Hey guys I recently went down to the rifle range and unloaded about 300 rounds with my brother off my Romanian AK. Unfortunatly I think the heat had its effects on the hand guards. You think I should take it to a smithy to fix it or try to adjust it with a hammer?

if you are not able to do it yourself, than go to a smithy. if you are able and confident, go ahead do it yourself!

Easy fix. Get an adjustable wrench and on the side of the gas tube that has 2 flat spots milled ( the part that seats behind the rear sight ) adust the wrench til it holds the gas tube from twisting. Then, with your hands twist it ( gotta use some elbow grease sometimes ) til the handguard is where it needs to be.
Just FYI if you ever plan on replacing the grips, that is also how you remove it from the gas tube... ie Twist it til it is inverted from where it was and pull it off.
Hope this helps!

Heck, if it moved that easily you should be able to just pop it back.
