Big MAK attack

A rare POLY TECHNOLOGIES MAK-90 pictured over the more common NORINCO MAK-90 SPORTER

I enlarged the thumbhole on a spare buttstock - the NORINCO is very comfortable.

The POLY TECHNOLOGIES MAK-90 started life as a pre-ban AKS 762, you can just make out the "A" in this picture.

Notice the milled AKS 762 front sight base ~

Both rifles have less than 200 rounds fired and are in excellent 100% original Chinese condition.

Did you pick these up?

I know someone who has an original poly tech legend still in the wrapper. I have never seen one out of the wrapper, and the pics look awesome!

Thanks ~

Both were local purchases from original owners.
The NORINCO was a true rescue.

Thanks FutureMarine!

I have decided to stash my POLY and collect all of the parts needed to make
my Norinco fully compliant so I can install a pistol grip and flash suppressor.

Is your MAK converted?

when you convert the thumbhole stock to pistol grip, you have to buy the correct amount of US parts. Do a search for 922R or something like that.

You need to replace the Chinese FCG with a G2 trigger group and replace the Chinese wood furniture with Made in the USA furniture
I am going with a double hook G2 trigger group and made in the USA wooden butt, pistol grip & handguards - this equals 6 non-import parts.
With these 6 parts installed I can legally install the muzzle break or FS of my choice. I'm going with the SEI DC Vortex.
I will need to get the barrel threaded first...
Changing furniture & installing a G2 is said to be VERY easy and makes your rifle legal.
I am still collecting parts and will post results when I'm finished.
