On AKs, many have the year stamped on them.

I have a WASR-10. I was looking around for it but couldn't find anything.

I don't think they started coming in until about 2000ish, when any foreign rifle able to take a high cap military mag was banned from import.

If it has a threaded barrel and bayonet lug it is post ban-expiration, which was 9-13-06.

Oh ok, mine doesn't have a threaded barrel but it does look like it could accept a bayonet. Thanks for the info.
