Romanian AK 47 side mount rail

Does someone know where I can buy a side mount rail for mounting a scope on a AK? I need the part that mounts on the recever of the gun.

Try BMP -1 or MTK from Tantal. Works like a dream

Also good guy to work with. Be patient, e-mails can be slow sometimes.

Siderail mounts, depending on the match of mount and AK model, can be less than solid. Check around the forums for a good mount-model combination. For example, a certain mount tends to work better on Romanians than on Saigas. Receiver cover mounts are the worst.

Some AK receivers twist enough that a siderail scope mount is useless no matter what. A good mount that overcomes this problem is a scout mount that replaces the rear site ahead of the action.

yep went somewhere else alright. a pawnshop had two 400m.6x40 balinka scopes and the exact mounts you are lookin for, ak hunter. i bought a scope and side mount for 120$ because i want to put it on my saiga thats on its way. it is VERY snug fitting, but now i have a question . on the gold colored lever that you have to remove to install the mount, is there supposed to be another piece of gold metal that fits in the slot of the mount? like i say this thing seems bombproof, but what do i know? thanks again everyone! oh i forgot to mention, i put it on my ak for practice thats how i know it fits snugly on THIS gun.

btw i did go to kalinkas site and got the manuals for both items, so if they made it hard to buy something at least i got that.

update ,i emailed kalinkas and the man responded by giving me his personal phone#! so i take it all back,this guy is being very helpful! next time i need optics....

I've bought from Kalinka before and had a good experience. They're slow because some stuff comes from Russia, but great customer service.
