This was mine before I oiled the wood which now looks almost synthetic, but I imagine that the black ebony wood makes it look "mean"\

I bought the Jeep bayonet/survival knife at Big 5 for $12+tax and took it home to see how it would fit to find it flat-out doesn't fit over the muzzle.

So, I'm guessing what you did is screw off the muzzle attachment, put the bayo over the threads and screw the attachment back on?...

Edit: That ebony wood is absolutely amazing-looking. Without looking close, I would have thought it was plastic. Very nice touch.

Normal bayonets slide over the muzzle attachment and fit into that little notch and the back of the handle locks into the bayonet lug with a latch. But if it works, it works... it's just not a quick on and off method like bayonets are supposed to be. Plus, you run the risk of damaging the threads for the muzzle attachment.

Maybe you guys can let him know that will get him at least a fellony conviction if not prison time. Of coarse a lot of it has to do with the circumstances when he gets caught with it. As it stands that's an AOW and he can own it after he pays for his stamp and fills out forms, get signature, etc...
