Those are my babies, if youll forgive the amateur photography. Both WASR-10's, one on the left was fitted with an Ace folding stock, a Tapco 74-style break, a Gun Tech aimpoint clone w/visible laser, and an ERGO grip. The difference felt from just the break and the grip are worth the experience.

*edit* also has the UTG rail that I forgot to mention. Those things are worth every penny.

103M 95G, I think you missed the point of this thread.

It's supposed to be mean-looking AK's. Maybe it's just me, but a "basic Romy" isn't exactly up there with "meanest-looking", savvy?

Then I'll just use a regular Romy next time I hold up a bank! That way I don't have to scar everyone for life

I didn't say they didn't all "look-mean", the title of the thread is Meanest-looking AK. So, if you really think the meanest looking AK is a basic Romy, then go ahead and post it, but I personally think there are many more AK's out there that are "meaner looking".

Agreed, wasn't contesting that post. Looks good to me, especially the exposed gas tube. It was the "basic Romy" I thought was a little off-topic. Not that we ever go off topic on these forums...

What is your definition of “Mean Looking”? Is it because there are no rails, collapsible or folding stocks, lights, or other accessories? The basic outline of the AK sometimes strikes fear into the heart of a person and it is “Mean Looking” to some. The outline alone is Intimidating. The outline is on a flag of a country, symbolizing freedom, hell this semi-automatic sporting arm was on the AWB based on looks alone.
Just-a-car I see your point, but one has to be open to see others.

103M 95G, don't get me wrong... I totally agree that compared to other firearms, the AK 'arguably' reigns supreme as one of the most bad@$$'d, meanest Mo-Fo's out there.

I wasn't trying to down you or your choice of meanest-looking, since it's all subjective; what I think is mean could look like fluffy kittens to someone else, yano? I was just thinking you may have thought this was kind of a "post your AK pics" thread. If I was mistaken and those were your nominations for meanest-looking, then I apologize, no offense was meant.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to add my AES-10 (which can be found in this forum in it's own thread) until I finish modding it out. I'm hoping to "set the bar" with it when I'm done. Oh, and I don't intend on it being all crazy tactical (not that there's anything wrong with that), but I do intend on making it "functional" with the modifications I make. The other unfortunate part is that I'm looking at around $200 more of accessories to finish it all.
