| Senior Member | wars10 trigger problem
i recently bought a wars10 and i never shot it til yesterday and i found out the trigger really don't work that great. what i mean is if you hold just a little bit of force on it after fireing it the trigger won't return back to it's original fireing position. there was a retaining wire in there that was not placed correctly and the trigger pin was working it's way loose. well i fixed that for now and i'n gonna go get me a few c-clips to put on the rest of the pins in the reciever. ok my question for the trigger fix is should i pull the spring out and bend it to put more of a bind on it or what??i know there is nuthing major wrong with the gun and i like it because it's a snug fitting ak47 my sar1 rattles and this wars10 has no play in it. i can post a detailed picture if needed . |

I would like to see a picture but I would also suggest changing out the trigger group with the one from Tapco. It's really nice. My buddy has one in his AK and loves the the feel of the trigger now. I could tell the difference in it.

ok here are some pictures the one marked with the yellow arrow is the retainer spring i had to bend and put back into place the spring next to it is the one i want to bend to put more of a bind on it . but look at the trigger parts compared to the sar one the sar one is long and flat and the wars is pointed almost like a pistol hammer. the first picture is the two side by side the wars is on the left and the saron the right. the second is the spring picture and the 3rd is a picture of the sar trigger group. ![]() ![]() |

Ok I get your problem now. The retainer spring is fouled up and letting the pin slip out of place? Correct? If I am correct then I would say just to replace it cause more often than not once you bend it once it just bends easier and easier every time. That or you could try to use some C-Clips but make sure they fit very very tight. Otherwise the will fall off and into the mechanism. I don't think finding a replacement for that part would be very hard to do. It's probably your best and safest bet. The difference looks to be that the retainer runs under the pin which may also account for why yours is all messed up possibly someone took it apart and got it all in messed up. I still say replace the part and find a diagram for the WASR. I will look and see what I have tomorrow. I may have the diagram and I can scan it in and post it. Here is a pic. This is of my Saiga that I bought today. I have never taken it apart so I know that this is the correct way to have the retainer spring installed. It runs under that pin. No doubt about it. You will need to slide that pin out and push that retainer under it then push the pin back thru.

no mine goes on top i went and took my hungarian amd top cover off and low and behold it was the same way so i took the wire retainer out and put it in the way it was like the amd and it seems to be working better or should i say feels better and snugger.i'm gonna go try and pop off a few rounds tomorrow and see if it held out the trigger any.the trigger group is the same on my amd65 so i don't know we'll see what happens. i know there isn't any trigger slap with the amd like my sar1 hasand the wars doesn't trigger slap iether.gonna see tomorrow i guess the kids will get another day of shooting this will be three days in a row.lol
