Far as I know, quality isn't significant enough between the two to bother with. About the price, have you looked into some other make with an underfold stock? The Polish AK is always more expensive on the websites I frequent. I didn'y find a Polish below $600, but I did find the below Yugo with an underfold for $450. If I were to go underfold(which I probably wouldn't. I want something solid), I'd get that one or one like it. Yugoslavian AK-47 Rifle M70AB2 with underfolder stock. |

Yep. I don't really like foldings stocks in general. I prefer something nice and solid that I can use to wack someone up side the head and not worry about it breaking. A folding stock sorta throws off the balance of the weapon as well, when its folded in, but that's just be me.

I don't know much about the Polish rifles - I handled one and it seemed like it was of high quality. I do know something about the Yugos. I have an under-folder and a fixed stock. Both are great rifles. I have no complaints with either. Accurate and of course dependable. The yugo mags are kinda cool - they have a last shoot hold open. Not sure if it is better or worse, but it is different than the norm. I guess the mag would likely have the same effect in any AK. I kinda prefer the folding stock. I have a better sight picture with it. Mine is pretty sturdy - you would have to try pretty hard to break it. |

| Polish AK Folder
Using a Polish Kit to build and underfolder AK is highly recommended by me. The parts are made by Radom and on a level with American gun manufacturers and the quality is really great. They cost a bit more but you get parts that are first line and will never fail you in a pinch. Which is why most of us own and AK.

I have seen them at gun shows for about $625. The one I saw came from a company in Texas, they claim to build them up from imported kits. I spoke to the guy at a gun show for some time. I broke open gun, and the reciver had a TAPCO Gen 2 trigger, with the stamped hook inside, instead of the standard paperclip retaining spring. The rifle looked real good and I would have bought it had I had the money at the time. I have never fired an underfolder. I keep putting off geting one because I fear it will be uncomfortable to shoot. But the look of the underfolder is way better than the side folding ones.
