| Senior Member | Remember my AK Santa list?... This is the NodakSpud Tabuk/SVD-style flash hider: nodakspud home page.htm (it's almost at the bottom of the page) it's in the white, but a good manganese parkerizing would look nice. There's also a birdcage flash hider: GunBroker.com guns: ak-47 birdcage flashhider There's this brake that is used on the AMD-65's: GunBroker.com guns: AK-47 Threaded Muzzle Brake This also looks interesting: GunBroker.com guns: ak 47 extra long muzzle brake

| Senior Member | The muzzle brake used on the AMD65's was actually designed for the AK-74's. I bought one made for a 47, but it didn't turn out well. The blast was alot louder, plus mine was off center, so the bullet was acually hitting the brake. I discarded it and went back to the original slant. |

| Senior Member ![]() | You might try the Krinkov type like the ones on the short barreled AK's. They are supposed to quiet things down a bit, blast and flash, get the ones without the holes in the side.
