If you bring it to work, do not bring the bolt. God forbid someone think your going to go postal at work. Try what mooseman said. After I read what he said and looked where he's talking about, I agree with him. Give it a good whack from the front bottom towards the rear, with that rubber mallet he spoke of. There can't be much of the mag, maybe a 1/4" at the most preventing it from coming out in the front.

Not trying to take moosemans advice as my credit, just trying to make sure you understand what he meant. Not saying you can't read and understand or that you're stupid either. lol Not my intent. I just feel for ya' and want to see you get it out is all.

I remember reading some where some one said "when working with ak's you can't be gentle"
when I removed my wasr 10 stock I tried to be gentle with it and broke several screw drivers. I ended up beating it off with a mallet, and wadda ya know it worked like a charm.

No worries, hun. I work at a gun store. It wasn't the only AK47 sitting on the counter this morning. LOL!

BTW:

Got the mag out at about 4:00 this morning. Woke up to answer the call of nature and she was just sitting there staring at me. After a few more wacks I got frustrated and she met the wall. It loosened the release enough that I was able to brace her with my feet and pry it back with a screwdriver, which then made the mag pop free. I wasn't able to get the screwdriver in there before that.

The mag is a total loss, unfortunetly. All the wacking and jimmying ended up scrapping the mag up and took chunks off it. It left jagged pieces that blocked it from going in. I tried to file them down and now the mag won't seat. Which is fine, it was sort of nasty anyway. Now I have an excuse to replace it.

And you'll be glad to know she shoots like a dream. More accurate than I was expecting, and that recoil was bizzare. I'm not used to semi-auto rifles so to me it felt really cool. But I can see now why people buy 7.62x39 by the case load. LOL!

Thanks for all the help and patience, guys. I really appreciate it!

I'm thrilled you got the mag out, though I laughed I figured you wouldn't rest until you got it out. Congradulations...A.H

Hey man, you know me. If I'd gotten any more frustrated I probably would have beat the AK to death with my K31. LOL!

I had a target to show off, too, but I left it at work, of course.

Yeah, but enough wiggling shaved it off in layers. It was good and jagged up there.

Glad to hear it finally came out!

What you should do now is take another mag that the floorplate is crapped-out and weld the springs together, then weld the two bodies together to make a "huge-cap" magazine. Kind of like the 75 round magazines I've seen that just barely fit because the floorplate almost touches the front of the gun.

I don't think anyone who knows ya here is complainin'.

I'll have to come by your shop/range if I'm ever down that way to try out some of your Class III stuff. The only thing we're allowed to have that's Class III in WA is suppressors, but we're not allowed to use them on a firearm.

Well, gotta ruin the image. It was a t-shirt like nightgown and I have short hair, so it can't be tied up. Haven't been able to do a pony tail in six years.

Boy are you way off Neo. lmao My face was red because I'd replied about Sucklead called or saying HUN to me. Thus the face turning red comment because I did not know Sucklead was a lady. So sorry to disappoint, not excited. lmao So next time you'll get

Now with this comment, [quote=neophyte;406820] What intrigued me: you getting up in the middle of the night to work on a gun. now the fun.[quote=neophyte;406820] It would appear you're the one that got excited my friend? lmao
