I like my B-square mount its tough. I dont know what swedesteve is talkinhg about. I should add that its not for my AK. but it is solid. Last edited by meatloaf; 01-31-2008 at 07:15 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

The B-square is the ONLY solid mount for the AK other than the side rail mounts. If you want a solid mount other than drilling holes in the gun its your only choice. |

You may as well Not have a scope on an AK if you are mounting to The Top Cover...It has too much wobble and play to hold zero...It is sheet metal and not SOLID . The Side rail on an AK is the only way to insure a solid mount ! Ray Charles can see that !!! Rich

I should have qualified my statement. I meant th WAY it mounts is too flimsy. As Moose noted above. Sorry! I do not feel that you can mount a scope securely to an AK, unless it's a side mounted one. And then it's not perfect either unless you have a milled receiver. Just my opinion guys...

I would imagine a scout scope mount like on the mosin would work just fine.

It is bolted to the receiver (using existing holes) and the rail sits about an inch above the top cover. I prefer the ease of use of the side mount, but the B-Square is a good alternative for those AK's without side mounts. | |
