MAk-90 trigger group replacement question

I am trying to replace the trigger group on my MAK with a TAPCO double hook trigger. I can't rotate the selector lever up all the way to get it out like their instructions say to do. I was reading on AK-47.net and one of the articles said if you have trouble grind the tail off the disconnector because it is not used on the semi-auto version. How much do I grind off and does anyone have a picture of what it should look like after I grind it off?

I want to put a plate in to replace the sheperd's crook but I don't see how I can if the selector won't rotate because of the disconnector.

Have you tried removing the trigger group with the lever down in the firing Position ???? If you have the regular trigger group in place, when you push the pin out, The sear and spring will be removable...
