ak side rail scope mount

has any one tried this mount on your saiga

is there any other reasonable priced scope mounts that yall find work well

Try Red Star or K-Var, That is a quick release designe. There are others that are screwed in place probably cheaper.

For $38 bucks + S&H of course, not a bad price though. Seen worse. If you want quick release, it should work fine. But I'm learning, in some applications, a solidly attached scope generally means better and more accurate shots. Less chance of something coming loose.

Quick release is OK for it's instended purpose. It will shift your zero slightly. Those ae not Russ built, but seconds reassembled in US.

i dont really need a quik release what brands should i be looking at that bolt into place
i checked out the k - var they r out of stock

Are you against a scout style mount? As far as a side mounted scope you can also look at adapting a side mount for lever action rifles.

i really dont know what type of mount i need i just want something that is sure to hold zero and i dont have a whole lot of money to spend on this thats why i was looking at that 1 for 38$

Well, your budget is going to dictate what you can go with. If you like the mount then get it! I have a Russian one. It works OK. The locking lever is adjustable. If you get one PM me and I'll give you the instructions for that.
