what caliber, synthetics or steel.my favorites for steel in 7.62x39 is the yugo with the BHO and/or bulgarian, the rest will be just as good.for synthetics in 5.45x39,the East german for quality with polish steel in 5.45x39 with it followed by the bulgarian followed by ruskie.synthetics are a bit trickier to find reliability.

Hungarians are good, as are Bulgarians. Russians are also usually good.

Chinese 'banana' mags have been hit-and-miss, but their drum mags (75 and 100 round) are valued up around $200 (mainly due to the fact you open the back and load them, then wind the key in front to charge the spring tension), whereas the Romanian drums run around $100 (which you have to load one-by-one or with clips through the top feed-lips).

I've shot pretty much all of them. Only ones I had probems with were synthetics. Maybe just my bad luck!
