| Senior Member | The Side Rail mount theoretically would work and there's nothing over the receiver, but that wouldn't be practical. The gas tube mount he would be getting should work with minor modification to the stock. basically cutting out 4 small notches for the barrel clamps(see below pic). There is no range report because we didn't install the bullpup sights and you can't use the originals. I needed to thread the hole in the rear sight assembly that's under the sight leaf and we had nothing to thread with. So right now its a point and shoot, which is fine with my friend. It's mainly a home defense weapon. Umm far as working goes, its kinda interesting. I think it should be a tad more robust, but it works for the most part. The one problem being, the spring isn't strong enough to push the trigger back forward when you shoot, so you have to manually do that. Next time I'm over there I'm gonna fix that somehow and I'll look into a tap to threat that hole. The rear sight looks very sturdy and has flipping peep sights like an AR-15. The front sight attachment I'm not sure about, but should be ok so long as he doesn't try to club someone with it. ![]()
